I just had a birthday this last Thursday and celebrated it with my hubby of 48 years at our local Hemingway's Restaurant in Rockport and it was wonderful. We went for the 4 to 7 pm Happy Hour and early menu and devoured the fabulous Almond Crusted Flounder with veggies. I highly recommend this early menu special and the happy hour too!

We went to Hemingway's Friday night and we had a wonderful time. The Happy Hour prices, the FREE appetizers and the entertainment were fantastic. The early menu had a wonderful Lobster Ravioli topped with shrimp and crab and covered in a velvety, light sauce. It was definitely the very best I have ever had and the Chef Ken Foster out did himself on the whole meal. Our friends had the flounder dish and loved every bit of it. When asked if we wanted desert we just laughed as we all had eaten more than we could handle. New Orleans has lost a great Chef to Hemingway's and I highly recommend you try his dishes.

Here it is May 2012 and again Hemingway's has proved to be a superb place to dine. We went for the early dinner/happy hour and it was super. The new chef who was formerly the chef for Bobby Flay at two of his restaurants in New York has joined Hemingway's and is doing a wonderful job...be sure to stop in and eat early or regular dining and you won't be sorry.

My husband and I went to Hemingsway's wine tasking Wednesday night and enjoyed incredible food and wine pairings with each course that were surpub. Their new venue is "Casual Elegance" and they have definitely pulled it off. We are looking foward to dining with them often.

Wow their new chocolate bread pudding is to die for. I had their crab cakes and they were delicious as was the grouper and the potato bisque is unique and superb. Be sure to give them a try!

If you haven't been to Hemingway's lately, it's time to go! From appetizers to desserts, our group was so very pleased. Scallops, steak, shrimp, crab, fish, pork--all delicious. Bread pudding & chocolate bread pudding, Yummy! The service was great; the live music was just right, and the atmosphere remains casual elegance! We'll be back soon...and often!

We went last night and had gumbo, coconut shrimp and their shrimp and vegetables tempura all were fabulous and chef Ken is back with his Louisiana creations. Be sure to go for dinner or their early dinner for a discounted meal. Happy hour is still going on and they have many plans in the future so keep in touch. Carol T.

We enjoyed our Sunday Brunch so very much. Food was delicious and the prices were extremely reasonable. Looking forward to Hemmingway's return to its previous glory. Pat P.

Great food and drinks. It's back and am I glad. Just miss the Vocalist who entertained with the Old but Goodies with and excellent voice. I think his name was Gary, something. He is the best. Keep up the theme and great food. We will always support Hemmingway's if the food remains good and reasonable. DS
