Caro Jackson is our featured artist for December. Caro has been a member of the Wind Way Gallery Group of artists since its inception. Sadly, she will be leaving the gallery in January since she and her husband have moved to Fort Worth. We will miss Caro tremendously, as an artist, a friend, and a major organizer of gallery events. We do hope she will return as a guest artist from time to time. We will hold a farewell reception for Caro on Wednesday, December 5, 5-7pm.

December will bring some special holiday pieces to Wind Way Gallery, including charming character sculptures by Lynn Lynn, shore bird and waterfowl creations in wood by Jimmy Stutz, scarves and textiles by Lorie McGirr, totes and handbags from the Silver Silo and Diane Johnson, and a new collection of textile Christmas cards by Susie Black. A Christmas tradition will continue as Betty Shamel features her newest nativity scene. Come celebrate “Christmas in the District” with us on Saturday December 8, 10am-8pm. Bring in a can of food for the food drive and you can enter a drawing for a gallery gift certificate.

A part of Rockport's art scene since 1996, Wind Way Gallery exhibits the works of local artists June Ainsworth, Angalee DeForest, Susan Forrest, Lorrie Harrington, Caro Jackson, Sally Mitchell, Cherry Morrill, Genie Mysorski, Sandy Reese, and Betty Shamel. Sculptures by Kent Ullberg, jewelry by Diane Johnson and Martha Berkebile, and work by guest artists add to the flavor that makes Wind Way a favorite of art enthusiasts.
