Bob had some fellow workers in town at the plant in Point Comfort. They decided to drive down to Rockport for dinner. We were in a quandary as to where to take 4 Australians in Rockport where we could get a memorable dinner. We decided to take them to Glow. Bob called and made the reservation for 6 and off we went. The Aussie's were running late so I went ahead to the restaurant to see what could be done. I met the owner, who said no problem "why don't I seat you and get you a cocktail while you wait". Of course I did this and had a "Glow" (which is really, really, really good!). I ordered four appetizers and the group showed up, ordered drinks and wow there were the appetizers. We ordered four different entrees and three different desserts. The food was fabulous and the service was great. Bob told me after we got home that It was a really great, memorable dinner and he was glad I suggested Glow. I thought I would pass this on to you. It was a most enjoyable evening and I would certainly recommend Glow to anyone looking for a nice restaurant for dinner in Rockport. According to the Aussie's definitely worth the hour drive.

When you visit GLOW for lunch and order the three course special (and it really is special!) a portion lunch bill is donated to Aransas County Emergency Medical Services, one of, if not the best, EMS operations in the Coastal Bend. Lunch was delicious with choices of soup or salad, main courses and desserts.

Aransas County EMS is an incredibly underfunded, excellent and necessary operation in our community, manned by the best EMS people who give us life-saving care in an area where hospitals are a long ride away.

Thank you Karey Butterworth Johnson, Owner and Chef of GLOW for helping Aransas County EMS. GLOW is located at 1813 Broadway, Rockport.

Glow is one of my favorite restaurants in Rockport. I really appreciate the chef's innovation when it comes to presentation and selection!...You just never know what's going to be on the menu...and I LOVE that!

Karey hosted the Board of Diectors of the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce yesterday for lunch. What a wonderful lunch sampler Karey & her staff cooked up for us. Thanks, Karey

Karey and her talented crew always use the freshest local ingredients in their dishes. We have never been disappointed in our meals, the service or ambiance at Glow. Karey is truly a gifted chef and, the best part, she is passionate about our community. She supports so many non profits entities in Rockport including Rockport Rotary (the annual Taste of Rockport) and Meals-On-Wheels. Did I mention that the wine tastings and special events are fabulous? Go Karey!
