Recipes | "Easy to Make Apple Pie Dessert" by Kay Scott

"You can use the frozen peach or cherry pie. For the cherry pie, use white sugar only and use vanilla and almond flavoring. For the peach pie, use 1/4 c. brown sugar and 1/2 c. white sugar. You can also mix the variety of pies and make a larger dessert. Be sure and have ice cream or whipped dessert topping and a good cup of coffee ready."
  • 1 frozen apple pie (partially thawed)
  • Vanilla (optional)
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 t. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. water
Break up partially thawed apple pie into 13 X 9-inch dish. In saucepan, over medium heat, melt margarine and combine with the cinnamon, sugar, and water.

Pour over apple chunks. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
