- 1 16 oz. pkg whole cranberries
- 3 C chopped apples peeled (I use Granny Smith, but red is ok too.)
- 1 C sugar
- 1-1/2 C rolled oats
- 1/2 C brown sugar
- 1/3 C flour
- 1/2 C chopped pecans
- 1/2 C butter
Wash and drain cranberries. In a mixing bowl toss cranberries, apples and white sugar. Pour into buttered casserole dish. Combine oats, brown sugar, flour and nuts. Mix until crumbly. Sprinkle crumb mixture over the apple/cranberry mixture. Pour melted butter over all ingredients and bake for one hour. Bake at 350 degrees in a 13x9 in pan.
8-10 servings (good as side dish instead of cranberry sauce).
