Recipe | Chocolate Mice


  • Maraschino Cherries with Stems
  • Chocolate Bark
  • Hershey kisses with Almonds
  • Almond slices with bark on
  • Red gel decorating icing in tube
  • Paper cupcake liners

Melt chocolate in double boiler and while chocolate is melting open and drain Maraschino cherries and place on paper towel; unwrap kisses and set aside; pick out matching pairs of almond slices and also set aside where handy.

When chocolate is melted, holding stem of cherry dip it into chocolate until cherry is completely covered, pull out and set on paper liner with stem angled toward one side (this is the body and tail of the mouse). Take kiss and place on its side onto cherry opposite the stem (this is the mouse head). Take almond slice pair and place between kiss and cherry (these are the ears). Repeat until you are run out of supplies or are tired of making mice, whichever comes first. After the mice are assembled, clip end of red gel icing tube and make two dots on the kiss face for eyes.
