Explore the Fulton Mansion Grounds by Cell Phone!

Mansion State Historic Site is launching two cell phone tours the weekend of February 8th for visitors exploring the grounds around the mansion. Cell tours are available 24/7 and are FREE though standard cell phone usage fees may apply.

"We're excited to provide these tours to any visitor at any time. Call our tour number: (361) 249-9122, to check it out," said the site director, Marsha Hendrix. The two cell tours provide information not covered by the Mansion guided house tour: Mansion Architecture on Tour 1 and Secrets of the Basement on Tour 2. Tour instruction guides (attached) are available at the information board at the parking lot on the corner of Fulton Beach Road and Henderson Street.

BACKGROUND: Fulton Mansion State Historic Site, a Texas Historical Commission property, is a grand Victorian villa located on picturesque Fulton Beach Road in the resort area of Rockport-Fulton. Built in 1877, the home features French Second Empire-style architecture and progressive luxuries of its time such as gas lighting, central heating and flush-toilets. The site tells the real story of an authentic 19th-century affluent family who lived in this exceptional mansion.
