Rest in Peace | Vera Bryan

Vera Nell Bryan, 86, died Dec. 25, 2012, in Rockport, Texas. Mrs. Bryan was born December 20, 1926, in Jasper, Alabama, to C.L. and Gaye Shurett. Vera was married to Jack Robert Bryan in Houston in 1957, where they lived until moving to Rockport, Texas in 1988. Vera is preceded in death by her husband Jack Bryan, her sister Verla Barron and her brother Albert Shurett.

She is survived by her sister Betty Keeton (Hershal) Piedmont Al., brother William Shurett, Mobile Al.; sons George Earl Sparks (Niki), Katy, Tx; Brett Bryan, Houston, TX.; daughters Michaelan Ledger (Stephanie Dye), Houston, Tx. , and Jackie Iceton (Rick Maxwell)Fulton, Tx. 4 Grandchildren; Ben, Brandi, Michael, Bryan; and 5 Great Grandchildren, Logan, Amaris, Jake, Trinity and Cayden.

Vera or “Nell,” as she was known by many of her friends was a joyous spirit known to many of the people for her altruism and willingness to help other people. Her endeavors as a friend of Bill W. will long be remembered.

Vera worked for Aransas County Council on Aging, Senior Services Center, until her retirement in 2009. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockport.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 Nassau in Rockport, Texas at 2:00 PM, Saturday December 29, 2012.  Condolences may be sent to P.O. Box 9, Fulton Texas 78358
