Book Recommendation by Melody R. | "A Hundred Flowers" by Gail Tsukiyama

"A Hundred Flowers" is an interesting story about a Chinese family facing extraordinary challenges in 1958 right before the start of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The story line is told by 5 different people which totally captivates the reader!

The story gives you a sense of what the Chinese people lost during the Cultural Revolution. We in the U.S. often times take too much of our security for granted. This is an eye opening, yet enjoyable story. I highly recommend." - Melody R.
