UPDATE--ARRESTED: A 23-year-old Granbury man was arrested Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in connection with the International Bank of Commerce’s Wal-Mart in-store branch which occurred Friday, February 22.

The suspect was identified as Christopher William Adams. He was taken into custody at 12:30 p.m. at a location in Aransas Pass. The arrest was a result of a joint effort of the Rockport Police Department, Aransas County Sheriff’s Office, Aransas Pass Police Department and the U.S. Marshalls.

Detectives had received numerous tips since the robbery occurred. This arrest is a result of information gathered from one of these tips as well as investigative work by detectives assigned to the case.

Adams is currently being held in the Aransas County Detention Center under a $350,000 bond.

Rockport Police are seeking the whereabouts of a man who robbed the International Bank of Commerce branch located inside the Rockport Wal-Mart store.

The robbery occurred Friday, February 22, at approximately 3:30 p.m. The man was caught on a surveillance video, photo attached. He is described as a white male approximately 5’10” in height, and thin build. He has short brown hair and a thin beard. The suspect was last seen wearing a grey plaid flannel long sleeve shirt and faded blue jeans.

The suspect gave the teller a note informing the teller he was robbing the bank demanding the money be handed over to him. The teller complied and gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect left the store on foot.
