Book Recommendation | Sonia Sotomayor: "My Beloved World" | by Melody R.

Sonia Sotomayor is the success story of a poor Puerto Rican girl who fulfilled her dream of becoming a judge. No matter which side of the aisle you lean towards, this book is an excellent read in her own words. The book goes in depth about her struggle with Type 1 Diabetes and how this has impacted her life, and also talks about her mother's journey to go back to school to become a nurse. I found it enjoyable and informative. We should all know about the judges who serve on the Supreme Court. In my opinion, Sotomayer is a wonderful role model for today's youth--I highly recommend this book.

I saw an interview with her on TV...I was impressed by her sharpness, and wit! I might just pick this up. Thank you for sharing this.
