Mark was my sheriff, the ideal Texas sheriff who could wield a gun and a saxophone equally well. He was a most charming man. This is so hard for his family. I wish them strength in the awful days ahead.

Diana,

I knew Mark through the drug free program at ACISD. He was a kind and dedicated man. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.

Peace,
Libby

Our prayers are with your family. Many times we have watched and listened to Mark sing in the Quartet at the First Baptist Church in Rockport. Our granddaughter has enjoyed the company of his cat Lily, along with her cat Prissy. Mark will also be dearly missed by a host of friends and acquaintances.

Mark Gilliam Family,
Mark, was a wonderful person, so kind; caring; friendly; dependable; trustworthy; and always with a SMILE! We, Kelly kids grew up with Mark, and knew him well, our mother, Betty Kelly worked with him, she too new him well and always thought the world of him!!!!!! Rockport has lost an "ICON" way too soon, but, the good thing about it is he is in heaven with all the other Aransas County Sheriff's Department & Rockport-Fulton Police Department employees who have passed away recently & years passed. Our family's most fond memory of Mark, was when he was there, "SALUTING" our MOTHER" & her motorcade as we left the funeral home, I only wish I could be there for him and his family as they lay him to rest today. Mark, you were a Great man, a Gentleman. I have cried many a tear, since hearing of your passing. I cannot be there today, but, I will visit you when I go home.

On behalf of the Betty Kelly Family,
Debbie Kelly Shaw
