Local Profile | "Tiffany Harris Shares Her 'Spice of Life': Family, Church and Photography!"

I grew up in a small town with one high school, one junior high, lots of churches, and even more cotton fields and cattle. Sounds a little bit like Rockport minus the ocean! Levelland, Texas (said level-land) is where my parents moved when I was only 3 years old and my brother was 6, my younger brother came along 12 years later). My dad was a junior college administrator and my mom was a homemaker. When I was 7 my dad began in full time ministry as a pastor. It had it's challenges, but I feel the rewards far outweighed the tough times. My parents are still going strong at the same church 33 years later.

Watching my parents help and love all kinds of people was and is a true blessing. I knew in high school that I was going to marry a pastor. Little did I know that the marriage class I was going to take in the Fall of '93 at Texas Tech University would be where I met my him. Adam and I have been happily married for 17 years. He was a youth pastor for several years and is now serving as the campus pastor for a church here in town for the last three years. It's been an amazing journey.

Growing up with a mom who was able to stay at home was wonderful and something I wanted to do. I too had that privilege as I became a mom-3 times over (two girls and a boy). Once the kids were a bit older and in school I began working at a small Christian school in the town where we lived at the time. My husband served at the church that had the school. I really enjoyed what I did and it allowed me to be at home with my kids when they were off. It was around this same time that I really developed a strong passion for photography. I started out with my own kids and still life. And then I began to really pursue it.

In August of 2010 my husband and I were given the privilege of serving at a satellite campus of Bay Area Fellowship in Rockport. We moved our three kids and dog to Rockport four days before school started that year. In April of 2011 I decided to make a bold step and turn my passion and hobby into a real job and opened Tiffany Harris Photography. I also subbed at one of our local elementary schools and just landed a full time position there this year. I look forward to having my cake and eating it too, so to speak, as we serve the wonderful community of Rockport-Fulton through church, school, and capturing special moments in photos. We are so very blessed and thankful to be part of such a great community.
