1 Recipe | "The Red Hummer" Cocktail & Mocktail

I actually had some hummingbird food left over, and used it in a cocktail!! (Don't worry, it was in a clean mason jar from the fridge and it had never ever gone near actual birds.) My husband and I enjoyed this cocktail while watching the hummers buzz around our porch feeder...and it was so fun, I wanted to share our recipe with the Network! As you can imagine it's pretty sweet!!

Make this cocktail and celebrate this wonderful, local event that we are so fortunate to be a part of here in Rockport-Fulton! Remember, this cocktail is for the human variety and should never ever be fed to birds.    .....Enjoy friends!

Grown-Up Version:
  • 11/2 ozs Fresh Orange Juice
  • 11/2 ozs Grenadine
  • 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup (1 part white sugar, 4 parts water, simmered & cooled)
    • MIX THE ABOVE TOGETHER AND THEN...
  • Finish off with Champagne or Prosecco

Mock-Tail for the Kiddos: (Just as delicious!)
  • 11/2 ozs Fresh Orange Juice
  • 11/2 ozs Grenadine
  • 1/2 oz Peach Juice
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup (1 part white sugar, 4 parts water, simmered & cooled)
    • MIX THE ABOVE TOGETHER AND THEN...
  • Finish off with Ginger Ale
