Makes 6 one cup servings for $0.75 per serving. Each serving has 211 Calories; 24 grams Carbohydrates; 8.6 grams Total Fat, 31 milligrams Cholesterol; 9.6 grams Protein.

Your challenge tonight is to avoid rushing to fast food restaurants when you are hungry this holiday season. According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2010, the strongest association to weight gain and obesity is eating fast food. With this recipe, you will find it so convenient and versatile that you will never feel like there is no time to cook.
  • 1 3/4 cups instant mashed potatoes, butter-flavored
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered milk
  • 2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon dry Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Directions:
  • 1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients mixing until well blended.
  • 2. Store in airtight container.
  • 3. To serve, place 1/2 cup soup mix in bowl.
  • 4. Add 1 cup boiling water.
  • 5. Stir until smooth.
  • 6. Let soup set 1 to 2 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • 7. If desired, garnish with bacon bits and cheese.
