4 Rockport and Fulton will be featured in a special airing of "Today in America," which will be broadcast on The Discovery Channel

Almost one year to the day that filming took place, the Today in America television show will feature Rockport and Fulton as one of the “Best Places to Live and Visit.” The show will air on The Discovery Channel on Tuesday, December 10 at 6:00 a.m. The show captures the charm and beauty of our area by highlighting area bays, recreation opportunities, local attractions, hotels, and restaurants, as well as interviews with Rockport and Fulton residents and officials. According to Rockport City Manager Kevin Carruth, “The program has aired in regional and local markets throughout the country over the past few months. However, this will be the first time that it will be televised locally. “For those who would like to see the segment, without having to get up so early or watch the entire show, it can be viewed on the Internet,” he added. The segment can be found directly below this text. “Today in America” is filmed on-location in cities around the world and produced at United States Media Television’s studios in Coral Springs, Florida. Hosted by Terry Bradshaw, the show has won dozens of awards and recognition, including the prestigious Telly Award. (*Share this news with friends using the SHARE icons under the video)

The story is simple ... like the folks in Rockport. Educated folks who enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
