Local Profile | "4 Questions with Devorah Fox"

 1. Where did you grow up?

I was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up on Long Island. I lived for just as many years in Phoenix, and I'm closing in on the same number of years in Texas.

2. How did your upbringing affect what you do for a living now?

My parents were both book-lovers and taught me to read at an early age. I think I may have been born writing since I've been doing it for as long as I can remember.

3. What brought you to RockportFulton (and how does it differ from where you have lived previously)?

I live in Port Aransas but I'm in Rockport at least twice a month for meetings of the Rockport Writers Group for which I've served as secretary for many years. Like Corpus Christi where I lived when first moving to Texas and like Port Aransas, Rockport boasts proximity to the water, with all the charming sights, sounds, activities and attractions that go with that. However, Rockport is more laid-back and less touristy than Port Aransas and certainly a lot less busy and congested than Corpus Christi. I begin to relax the minute I enter the Rockport city limits.

I love to read and I love to write. So many stories, so little time.
