Rest in Peace | Lois Cole

On Tuesday, a beloved member of our community passed away unexpectedly, Lois Cole. Lois will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lois's husband Jim, and her loved ones.

("Farewell Party" information)

"Lois Cole was the Manager for the Visitor Center at the Rockport-Fulton Chamber. She was employed at the Chamber for almost 4 years.  She worked at the Inn at Fulton Harbor as a Front Desk Clerk for a short time, and she was a retiree from Texas Instruments.  She was married to Jim Cole.  She had 1 son, Blake McClendon and 1 granddaughter, Stephanie.  She was especially close to her niece, Kristi and had a sister in California.

Lois Cole was one of the most charming people I ever met. She could light up a room just by walking in with her sweet smile and bubbly personality. She had an amazing love of life and a flair for fashion.  She was always dressed in the latest style and loved lots of color. There was nothing drab about her! She was a rainbow!  She never met a stranger and everyone loved her. I don't know anyone who didn't like her.  She loved people and she loved animals, especially dogs. She kept doggie treats right beside her desk for our "furry" visitors.  She loved flamingos, she had a huge collection.

She was a joy to work with and a pleasure to socialize with.  There is such a dark spot without here here at the Chamber.  The loss was immediate.  She was such an amazing vibrant woman and will be missed by many."
