WWN Rockport has been Named Business of the Month by the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce!

WWN Rockport is honored to be recognized as Business of the Month by the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. We love this community and hope to continue serving as a valuable resource for residents and visitors alike.

THANK YOU to the wonderful folks who supported us with their
presence and very kind words July 10th at the Chamber:
Lara Garner, Beverly Trifonidis, John Aasp, Marsha Hendrix, MJ Olsen,
Carol Koutnik, Kimmi Moake, Barbara Gurtner, Meredith, Christy &
Sage Ilfrey, Taylor Hendrix, Danah Corrigan, Diane Davis, Jamie, John &
June Speck, Pamela Fulcher and all the WONDERFUL folks from the
Bay Blazers (including Freon!) and the AMAZING staff of the
Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

In 2005, the WWN began with Barbara Gurtner and a small group of local residents who wanted to share ideas and information. Today, we are a strong network of individuals, businesses and organizations that connect through our weekly newsletters and website. Over 2600 subscribers receive our weekly newsletter with community news and events, human interest stories, snapshots, recipes, fun and helpful content along with updated listings from local businesses. WWN Rockport has always been driven by the voices of local people, and we are so grateful to our many contributors who share their expertise and information with all of us each week. In addition we’d like to thank the City of Rockport and Town of Fulton who kindly and regularly share important information with the community through the WWN.

We want to thank all of our advertisers who utilize the WWN's platform to spread the word about their services, and also to the businesses who regularly update their listings to stay visible in our readers' minds. These paid advertisements are what keep the WWN free for subscribers, and allow us to partner with organizations that strengthen our sense of community.

Support from advertising has enabled WWN Rockport to sponsor events such as the annual Earth Day and Redfish Run, Rockport Film Festival, the first Golf Tournament fundraiser hosted by the Education Foundation as well as partner with Skip the Plastic. In addition, The Humane Society and Adoption Center of Rockport/Fulton are reporting an increase in overall adoptions, mentioning WWN Rockport as one of their primary channels to feature adoptable dogs and cats.

Friends, this is just the beginning! With your help, we hope to continue making a difference in Rockport-Fulton. We are very fortunate to be a part of such a close-knit and dynamic community of wonderful people. Thank you Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce for this exciting honor!

Thank you all so much for your kind words and support! I'm so grateful that I can facilitate the WWN for the community. It takes a village (or in our case a city & town!!) to keep the WWN's connection personal and the dialog relevant & helpful for the entire community....YOU make the WWN possible! Thank you!
