Pet Adoption | "Gus" Wants to be Your Best Friend!

Meet Gus, one of the most entertaining fellows out at the shelter. When he arrived, we thought that Gus might be short for Gustaff, but it wasn't long before he showed us that Gus meant Gus. You see, the name Gustaff's origin means "Royal Staff" or "Staff of the Gods" and this guy... well, let's just say that Gus's true colors are not purple, He might be remotely related to some Swedish Royalty, but probably not, and if he is, they undoubtedly are not going to invite him to a formal sit down dinner at the castle.

Nope, this Gus is more than likely related to the dog named Goofy, you know, that tall handsome fella, best friends with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Clumsy, intelligent, childish and pure goofiness - those are perfect descriptions of this boy. Those along with funny, charming and sweet talking make Gus the perfect best friend. Like his distant relative Dippy Dawg, Gus is very agile, a fabulous athlete - especially football and baseball, and although he tends to ham it up during photo sessions, he's really quite humble about his talents.
