ADOPTED! Pet Adoption | Humane Society of Rockport/Fulton: "Simba Wants To Be Your Lion Queen"

ADOPTED!

My name is Simba. It means "lion" in the African language Swahili. My tawny gold coat reminded the shelter staff of a lion's fur, and they thought I was a guy, so I was named Simba after the star of the movie The Lion King. But, Simba was a guy, and I'm a girl!

Let me explain why I was given a male cat name. Two out of three yellow/orange cats are male, so it was assumed I was a guy. It didn't take long for everyone to figure out the mistake, but it's a nice name and I liked it, so I kept it. So now I'm known as Simba, The Lion Queen. But, I'm not ferocious like a lion, and I don't roar like a lion. I'm a quiet, funny kitty who wants to get to know you and be your friend. Come meet me at the Humane Society. I'm spayed, have my rabies shot, and am ready to go home with you to be your Kitty Queen.

Oh how rare! A orange female. Someone better nab her up right quick! :)

Simba's story and her silly posture caused a couple to come out to the shelter, meet her, fall in love & take her home. Thank you WWN, you've saved another one and helped to create a new fur-family!
