ADOPTED!Did you know that every year Santa has tryouts for substitute reindeer on his team? Well, he does and this year Skeeter did his best imitation including antlers, but unfortunately, he didn't make it. As you might guess, the criteria for becoming one of Santa's team is pretty stiff and Skeeter has been working very hard at meeting them. You might have seen part of his testing at the Tropical Christmas Parade, his sleigh pulling technique is perfect! If you want him on your team, you just might have to reign him in a bit on a leash, he just needs a reminder that not everyone requires full power.
Skeeter's most outstanding attribute during the tests was his lovable personality, he can't Ho-Ho-Ho, but he does give the gentlest of kisses and the most enthusiast of hugs to all the boys and girls on Santa's list. His biggest problem was cats - you see Skeeter thinks cats should fly and he tries to chase them into flight whenever he can, but we're sure he can find a team that prohibits felines from joining.
In addition to the Elves at the North Pole, all of the Who's of Whoville tried to put in a good word for Skeeter this winter, but to no avail, Santa had more qualified substitutes for Dasher, Dancer and the rest of the team. Won't you consider adding this playful, lovable "Deer" onto your team? He can be seen, walked, played with in his run at the shelter, just don't expect him to be on the rooftop.
