Pet Adoption | Humane Society Rockport-Fulton: "Lucy" Needs an Audience!

"Luuuuucy! You've got some 'splainin to do!" How many of us remember that line from the popular TV series of the 50's I Love Lucy? Those who understand the madcap adventures of Lucy McGillicuddy Ricardo will be able to relate to this week's featured pup. She's a saucy little rascal, just 1 1/2 years old and very entertaining. Not much of a trouble maker, but a definite adventure and people seeker.

Lucy also has a few of the traits that remind us of Lucy Van Pelt from the comic strip Peanuts. Both are solid and tend to be a bit bossy. Our Lucy gets along with most other dogs, but she quickly rises to the top alpha dog position - reminiscent of the song Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.

The name Lucy as well as the equally beautiful Lucia, which derive from the Latin word "lux", meaning "light", Lucy/Lucia was at one time give to girls born at dawn. We're not sure what time Lucy was born, but she sure is capable of being the light of someone's life.

Won't you give this little powerhouse a chance to rule your home and family? Come out and meet this girl, see if she can't dance her way into your heart.
