ADOPTED! Lily Rose Has a New Landlord!
Sometimes life isn't very fair. I was living a quiet life for the first three years of my life with my mistress in a little apartment and looking forward to celebrating the holidays. Suddenly, the landlord stopped last week and told my mistress that I had to go - immediately! I couldn't understand why. I always stayed indoors, never made any noise or caused a mess. But I was evicted for no good reason.
Where was I to go? My mistress begged the landlord to let me stay, but he said No. She called all her friends, but no one could take me. She was crying and I didn't know what to do. Usually when I rub against her, lay down and turn over, she laughs, but even that didn't work.
Finally she thought of the Humane Society. Another kitty was just adopted so there was a space for me. Now I'm living in a cage in the reception room at the shelter. I have a big window to watch the people arriving and a pretty Christmas tree to look at, but I'd much rather be looking at a Christmas tree in a new home. I'm spayed, vaccinated and ready to go. Plus, I'm well mannered and would never climb in your tree or tip it over.
The Humane Society will be closed from 12/25 - 1/1, reopening on Jan 2. Please come and meet Lilly Rose in the new year.
