Pet Adoption | Humane Soc. of R-F: "Benji," Morris Look-a-like is Yearning to be Yours!

ADOPTED!!

Benji is my name, but some people call me Morris or Garfield because they think I look like those famous cats. I guess I do look like Morris. I'm a big friendly orange tabby cat, not even 5 years old yet. We both have nice stripes, white chins and the famous tabby "M" mark on our foreheads. As for Garfield, the cartoon cat, supposedly the real Morris was the inspiration for Garfield. But, who would want a cartoon cat when they could have a real live purring one like me.

Do you remember the dog movie star named Benji. Did you know that both Morris and the canine Benji were discovered in animal shelters. That just goes to show you the potential of animals adopted from shelters. I wasn't always living in a shelter though. My owner passed away a little more than a year ago when I was 3 years old, so I had to come to the Humane Society to live.

It's not bad here--regular meals, a roof over my head, a screened porch where I can watch the birds in the trees and cozy beds to sleep at night. I have several buddies here, Charlie, Cyrus and Thunder, who are my pals. But I'd really rather pal around with a person I can call my own. Come discover me (just like Morris) at the Humane Society. I'm ready to go home and be a star with you today!
