11 Recommendation Needed | Primary Care Physician in Rockport

Hi Friends! I was wondering if you could offer a recommendation for a primary care physician here in Rockport. A few years ago, I went to someone whose name starts with an M, and I'd like to avoid that doctor--but if someone has a doctor they really like, please share! In the past, I have gravitated towards female doctors, but I'm open to anyone who comes recommended at this point. Thank you!

We love Dr. Maroney.

I liked her as a doctor ok, but her staff was not pleasant to me. I'm also looking for someone new, perhaps I will try Dr. Low.......

I hear Dr. Brackin is good. Anyone have any experiences?

In Dr. Brackin's office, there is also Dr. Ralph and Seema (female) both well liked. Another is Dr. Bruce. Unfortunately, Dr. Bruce can't take any more patients until the Winter Texans leave but he is very helpful. Dr. Low is mentioned and he works with Dr. Bruce.

I use Bill Marr in Dr. Brackin's office. I have full confidence in the entire professional staff.

Based on the lack of care both my husband and I have received when we've been seen by Dr. Brackin, I would not recommend him. My husband has had at least 4 issues where he's failed to get the appropriate medical care from Dr. Brackin. I don't know about the others in his office. I've been going to Dr. Marone for 10 years and have been well taken care of.

RE DR Brakin MD:He has been very good for me. He will take the time to sit and discus any thing that may be of concern to me or my partner in crime. He takes verry good care of us both.

Dr. Bruce takes time to listen instead of rushing patients through. Other than due to the occasional emergency, I've never had to wait more than just a few minutes to see him. If you can get him, you won't be disappointed. Good luck and be well!

Like others have said, we like Dr. Maroney but the staff is pretty bad. I also dislike that she insists on seeing you for refills (more than once a year) and for ongoing referrals. You have to pay for an appointment then have another appointment for "lab review."

Dr. Chris Lucci (formerly of Longevity & Wellness) has just opened his practice at 2600 Lakeview Dr.(north end of Rockport Fitness) He is absolutely wonderful. Stays on top of your health, actually listens to your concerns and keeps all in check. His office is now a "Concierge" practice, and if possible, this is where you should sign up. My husband and I both have the utmost confidence in Dr. Lucci and would highly recommend he and staff.
