Recipe | "Sprout Slaw" by Karen

"HEB's produce aisle just gets my mind to throwing things together. I have enjoyed wanting to do a raw Brussels sprouts slaw instead of salad, and these ingredients did the trick for my family!" - Karen

  • A handful of raw Brussels sprouts
  • A smaller handful of radish
  • Napa cabbage leaves
  • A carrot
  • Granny Smith apple
  • Fresh basil 


Chop up the Brussels sprouts, slice up the radish, tear the cabbage into little pieces, shred a carrot, dice up 1/2 the apple (skin on), and chop up a couple of nice sized basil leaves. Drizzle with very little dressing and enjoy! I whipped up a little mayo with some white wine, a drop or two of apple cider vinegar, pinch of dry hot mustard, sea salt, and dash of Old Bay.
