Roving Reporter | "Opening Night of Hooks Baseball" | Photographs by Maria Nesbit, Text by Barbara Gurtner

Thursday, April 16, 2015 was opening night of the Hooks Home Season and "Aransas County Night." The Little Bay Sea Queens took to the field to back up the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce President, Karen Mella, who threw out the first pitch of the home season.

Off the field, The Little Bay Sea Queens greeted baseball fans, planted their signature red kisses and posed for photos. The Rockport-Fulton High School Band (amazing drumming!) greeted arriving fans at the stadium's entrance. The Rockport-Fulton Choir expertly sang the national anthem (fabulous!) and Pirate team was in attendance along with many local dignitaries including Rockport Mayor Pro-Tem Pat Rios, JD Villa, Diane Probst and more). Our own Rockport-Fulton Pirates baseball team helped fill our section of the stadium specifically reserved for Aransas County!

A big thank you to Maria Nesbit for documenting this spectacular event for all of us to enjoy!
