For over a decade, husband and wife team Ramona and Craig Day have provided a contemporary dining experience in charming Rockport, Texas. Specializing in fresh, local seafood, Latitude 28°02' has come to be known as a culinary gem and favorite watering hole among the locals.

Even from a young age, Craig showed great interest in the culinary arts while growing up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He began his career in food service as a line cook, but quickly moved up the ranks to sous chef before becoming head chef. It's during these formative years when Craig discovered his affinity for fresh, regional seafood and developed his own unique culinary style around those ingredients. Craig's wife, Ramona, grew up in Portland, Texas where her family owned and operated a catering business. It's there that a grade-school age Ramona washed dishes and helped her mother bake cakes. Waitressing helped put Ramona through college and gave her the food service experience she needed to make Latitude 28°02' one of the most successful restaurants in Rockport, Texas.

Latitude is the tried and true restaurant of Rockport-Fulton! Others try and typically fail, but Latitude has the best food, service and atmosphere...which keeps me and family coming back time and time again. Thank you.

I want to thank the manager and staff at Latitude 28 02 Restaurant and Art Gallery in Rockport, Texas for allowing Jule and me to enjoy one of the best Valentine's dinners that we have ever experienced. We walked into the restaurant and was disappointed to hear that we needed a reservation, they have been booked up for over a week and could not accommodate us. As we were turning to leave the manager said "wait". He whispered something in the ear of an employee and she left and returned a few minutes later. She said OK, follow me please. She seated us at a beautifully decorated table with flowers and a white table cloth. We enjoyed a wonderful fish dinner with a glass of wine. The waitress was absolutely the most courteous young lady, and the food and environment was fantastic. What a great way to end our Valentines day. Thanks to you and your staff Mr. Manager.
I had a wonderful time at the WWN Ladies Networking held at Latitude 28. The appetizers were grand but the connecting with old friends & making new friends was the best. Thanks Alicia & Ramona!!
