Pet Adoption | R/F Humane Society: Defining Miss Bridgett

ADOPTED!!

According to Wikipedia, the name Bridgett is Celtic in origin, meaning Power, Strength, the Exalted One. Well, this Bridgett is better defined by the Urban Dictionary, which describers her to a T. An amazingly happy, yet clumsy person who is so nice and always helping to cheer everyone up. Yep, that's our girl. This 6 month old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon mix is just chuck full of sweetness, antics and energy. She's pretty typical to the characteristics of her breed: devoted, friendly, outgoing & eager to please. She's going to be highly trainable as she's very quick minded, and will make for a very trustworthy companion.

Now there have been quite a few famous Bridgett's over the years, along with various spellings of the name. One of the youngest stars is Bridgit Mendler, a singer/songwriter/actress who in 2013 teamed up with Seventeen Magazine to spearhead their campaign for ending cyber bullying Delete Digital Drama.

Then there was the movie Bridget Jones's Diary, a film staring Renee Zelwiger, about a British woman determined to improve herself while looking for love.

And those of a certain age remember Brigitte Bardot, the French actress/singer/model who later in life became an animal welfare activist, going so far as to establish the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the Welfare and Protection of Animals.

As you can see, the name Bridgett lends itself to become an excellent family member, and while our Bridgett may never become famous, we're sure that she will light up your day, fill your home with love and keep you entertained for years to come.

Please come out and meet his unkempt looking girl, believe it or not, she's supposed to look that way.
