Roving Reporter | "Alice ISD 4th Graders Visit History Center" | Text and Photos by Vickie M.

On a Friday morning in May, 53 AISD 4th graders and their teachers visited the History Center for Aransas County to view the exhibit, "Signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence."  This field trip was the culminating activity for their study of Texas History this year.

Students viewed the exhibit, learned about herbs, heard about the history of the Bruhl-Paul-Johnson Home and the men who owned it, and learned about the history of horseshoeing from a local ferrier. They also participated in a Scavenger Hunt of the exhibit. - Vickie M.
