Pet Adoption | R/F Humane Society: The Sweetest of Honey's

Is this beautiful Labrador/Shepherd mix. Honey was found as a stray and as her rescuer already had a passel of critters, Honey was surrendered to the shelter. Unbeknownst to the staff, Miss Honey was about to become a mom. This surprise was brought to their attention one day when Honey disappeared UNDER her shelter - yep, this girl had her pups underground. Many of the staff & volunteers have favorites and Honey was no exception, she chose a couple of very caring folks to help her raise her pups to the adoption stage. Both Lincoln & Connie have their furever homes, Honey has been spayed (so THAT won't happen again) and it's her turn to find her family.

Despite the tough times this girl has had (she may have been hit by a car in her former nomadic life and the injury was never treated - she just has the cutest little wiggle in her walk), Honey is a very well behaved, attention loving, quiet & well mannered dog. She craves the human touch and will push that pretty little nose into your hand to let you know just how much she enjoys a loving hand stroking her head. She walks so well on the leash, it's almost like she walks herself. With just a little bit of patience, a treat or 2 and some kind words, this pup is going to make a fine companion inside or out.

To meet his fabulous girl, stop out at the shelter & ask for the sweetest dog on site: Honey! Don't forget that September's special adoption fee is only $25! Seriously, a dog that is up to date on her shots and fixed for only $25 - what a sweet bargain!
