The family has accepted the City of Rockport's offer to purchase the 8+ acres located on Broadway across from Little Bay. There is a three day legal waiting period before it is final.

In the meantime Dr. Earl Matthew, President of Aransas First, has set up an account at Prosperity Bank for donations. Checks are to be made payable to Aransas First with Bent Oaks Fund written on the Memo Line. They can be taken to Prosperity Bank in Rockport or mailed to:

Prosperity Bank
1505 Hwy 35 N
Rockport, Texas 78382
Attention: Gloria

Aransas First is a 501c3 organization, therefore all donations to them are tax deductible. We are very pleased to have Aransas First supporting this effort. I encourage all to look into and join this organization whose mission is to identify, acquire and protect sensitive Coastal Bend habitat essential to the nurture of birds, wildlife, and people; and to increase public awareness of ecosystems unique to the area (Live Oak Peninsula / Ingleside Barrier) through education, access, and participation. Website:
