Recipe | "Brandied Cranberries" by Karen

"We love cranberry sauce, but I wanted to play around with various ideas. So a few years ago I spent a day in the kitchen with tons of cranberries. I usually make 2 or 3 different kinds of cranberry sauce. This is everyone's favorite. Tart and sweet." - Karen

  • 1/3 C brandy
  • 2/3 C water
  • 1 C granulated sugar
  • 1 12 oz bag cranberries
Pour brandy, boiling hot water, and sugar into a casserole dish. Put in oven at 350 and bake until sugar completely dissolved. Add cranberries. Do not roll or coat, just lay them in a single layer in the casserole dish on top of the liquid. Cook for one hour at 350. Delicious cool or warm.
