Roving Reporter | "If you haven't been to the History Center..." | 7 Photos and Text by Lisa Kaye Knoblett

"If you haven't been to the History Center to see the Brooch covered tree, you are missing out on a wonderful treat! I had the pleasure of being asked to take some photos to share with everyone (thank you Vickie). I brought along my out of state friend to tour the history center while I took photos. We both left impressed! We are so blessed to live in a town with an interest in doing so much for the residents as well as our visitors. Rockport Proud!

The tree will be up the entire month of December! Come and enjoy all the history and the sparkle!

This tree is covered in many brooches. Some sparkle, some are cute, and some are elegant, however all are an interesting part of an era gone by. I cannot do justice with photos to the many brooches that hang on this tree. You will have to see it for yourself!

A beautiful angel tops the very Victorian tree.

Just a few close ups of the many things you will find on this tree. I think I could have looked at it, and under it all day and not seen all the different brooches!

Even the old time coffee grinder was decorated!
