"Members of the new local bird rescue group, Wings Rescue Center, heard from Amanda Terry, Director of Rehabilitation, and Dr. Tim Tristan, veterinarian, about their developing partnership with Texas Sealife Center at the group's  April 14 meeting. Birds rescued in Rockport and Fulton are transported to  Texas Sealife Center for care and rehabilitation. Aransas County Navigational District Chairman Malcolm Dieckow also spoke to the group, noting that Rockport-Fulton can't count itself as a birding paradise if we are not helping the birds." - Jeanette Larson
