ARANSAS PASS, TEXAS – On Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at approximately 10 pm, Aransas Pass Police responded to a call of shots fired in the 1700 block of West Highland. Our hearts and prayers go out to the surviving friends and family members during this difficult time. Chief Blanchard & City Leadership Upon arrival, the officers found a horrific scene. A mother, her young daughter, and husband were found with inflicted gunshot wounds from an apparent murder-suicide.

This incident has rocked our close knit community and impacted the Aransas Pass for Youth organization (APFY) where the young girl had been an active participant. APFY will be assisting with grief counseling services during this difficult time.
