News Release | City of Rockport: "Police Investigating Woman’s Death"

ROCKPORT, TX – On Monday, July 11 officers of the Rockport Police Department were called to the 200 block of Forest Hills in response to a welfare concern for their neighbor, Carol Conner, who had not been seen for several days.

Upon searching the residence at 201 Forest Hills, officers found the body of a white, 68- year-old female in a hot tub in the back yard. The deceased woman was identified as Conner.

It was determined that the woman had been in the water for 2-3 days. Justice of the Peace Diana McGinnis was called to the scene and ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Officers report there was no indication of forced entry to the residence or other foul play in this incident. The family of the deceased has been notified.

The matter is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division, Rockport Police Department.
