Kathy also praised the pro bono work that Dr's Harrell and Brunelle do at the animals and how all funding for the shelter comes from private donations and grants.
Ms Noble also spoke of the new wellness clinic, Wellness on Wheelz that will be setting up on the shelter grounds every few weeks starting Nov 6th. This clinic will be offering low cost vaccinations, microchipping and zeutering (a non-surgical neutering).
And of course, several furry residents went along to show the ladies what wonderful pets are available at the Humane Society, there are a lot of misconceptions about the quality and temperament of shelter animals, and they wanted to prove that they aren't damaged or bad, just homeless. No surprise, but one lucky woman fell head over heels in love with pretty kitty Olive and left the luncheon to go straight out to Myrtle St and adopt her! All in all, a successful, informative lunch!
