Roving Reporter | "Pelican Rescued with Sheriff's Help" by Jeanette Larson (3 Photos)

Wings Rescue Center received a call about a brown pelican tied up in fishing line. Unfortunately, a boat was needed for the rescue. Fortunately, the Aransas County Sheriff's Office came to the rescue and assisted volunteers Kay Adams and Susan L. Lewis. They utilized their boat to rescue this brown pelican who had fishing line tied around its feet. We expect the pelican to be okay after the line is removed and he's fed a few fish to regain strength.
