Pet Adoption | R/F Humane Society: Sirius' Looking For A Management Position

ADOPTED!!!

We’ve been hiding a secret out at the shelter and it’s about time that it’s heard by all. Some folks think that Lori is the manager, and that may be true to some extent, but the volunteers and staff that work & play in the catteries know that Sir Sirius is the real boss. Yep, don’t let that angelic face and his sweet purr fool you; this guy is a heck of a task master. Sirius has been known to oversee all clean up jobs, whether it be litter boxes or windows, he’s right there checking things out for perfection, and if things don’t pass the white paw inspection, he’s all over someone’s back about it.

As far as playtime goes, Sirius is stricter than any playground monitor, all toys are inspected for safety and all humans need to go through a rigorous 14 point test to make sure they know exactly how to operate every one of those toys to each cat’s specifications. If a volunteer waves the feather want too fast, too slow or too high, Sirius climbs right up to demonstrate the correct way it should be done.

Now, don’t get me wrong, Sir Sirius isn’t all work and no play, no sir-ree-bob! When the quitting time whistle blows, he’s all over those magic mice, the scratcher pads, the ball chase, and the flingy-things. And when all is said and done, Sir Sirius climbs up into the nearest lap, circles around and lays his head down for chin scritches & head rubs.

To meet this well rounded supervisor, please come on out to the shelter & head to Cattery #1. You won’t need to ask for the Boss, he’ll be right there to greet you – and to give you a job.
