What an interesting word.
Say it slowly and you have his story. History IS a story, a story about those who came before us. Something we need to preserve as best we can for future generations.
|It was also time to say goodbye to some board members, and hello to new ones. I am honored to say that I am one of the new board members.|
January 12, 2017: Aransas County History Center held a large celebration/appreciation party as a way to say thank you to all that worked to get the Rockport-Fulton Tour of Historic Homes, off the ground, and make it a success. This was for everyone involved, no matter what role they played, as each person had a role in sharing the history of these homes.
Many of the party goers chose to wear period costumes that they wore during the tour, some opted to wear everyday clothing. either way it was a fun evening. Everyone had a wonderful time. There was a lot of good food, laughter, and new friends made. The party was held downtown at the Estelle Stair Gallery. - Lisa Kaye Knoblett
