A Note from Alicia - Re: Our Quick Poll Survey

Howdy Friends!

Thank you so much to those of you who have taken the time to share your feedback with us through our "Quick Poll" survey form.  Over the last few weeks, I have been carefully reading through your comments and trying to make adjustments from your suggestions.

Alicia, WWN Webmaster
I am happy to report that the majority of poll-takers are finding their way around the WWN website (wwnrockport.com) with ease...which is wonderful! There is a lot of local information to organize and we appreciate your questions and suggestions.

I wanted to take a moment and address a question that pops up now and again about our e-newsletter format--which offers a "read more" link to our website after an article intro in an email. Several folks have mentioned our "old format." While the e-newsletter format we use now has been in place for six years, I suspect folks are referring to the time prior to our website when the email newsletter was very, very long and sometimes included full texts. While we are very sympathetic to the desire to have everything in one place, email clients (such as Gmail and Yahoo) have much more rigid size constraints on emails than they did in the early 2000s...which make huge (enormous!!) emails pretty much a thing of the past. The beautiful photographs and graphics from our readers make our e-newsletter a very large email indeed.

One way to 'shrink' the size of our e-newsletter, would be to increase the frequency of which you receive it. ...So instead of coming once a week, the e-newsletter would come several times a week. Is having the newsletter come much more frequently, but with full articles, something people would be interested in?...Please let us know your thoughts and specific suggestions via email.

Thank you again for all your feedback, and kind words. At the WWN we work hard for you and our community, so please keep in touch!

Thank you for your support!
