Pet Adoption | R/F Humane Society - Rocky: The Man, The Myth, The Legend!

This week’s feature is Rocky – yes, I know, a cat this size must be named for Rocky Balboa - right? Close, but this handsome fella is no fighter – and is ALL lover, not the least little bit of boxer in him! His is hoping, however, to be another  rags-to-riches story. He's a homeless shelter cat and is now looking for the American Dream to happen. For him, that dream will include a warm home with lots of people, other kitties and/or alternate furry siblings. He's not fussy about who he shares with as long as he gets more than his fair share of cuddle time!

This small town love-thug has been showing off all around Rockport that despite his fairly large build, he has a super soft sweet spot that happens to be right on his belly. Just ask the kids from Fulton Middle School – he rolled over to let dozens of hands pet, pat and rub all over that tummy.

Rocky’s about 2 ½ years old now, well past that climbing-the-curtains stage of kittenhood, he’s still wild about catnip mice, feather wands and ping pong balls send him into jump & race frenzies! A trainer like Mickey Goldmill could have a full time job keeping this guy in shape.

When all the play is said and done, Rocky seeks out a lap to settle on and will give thanks with rumbley purrs and gentle biscuit making.
