Kay Adams and Rick Simon draw the winning tickets
On Sunday, March 19 Wings Rescue Center volunteers hosted a party at Rusty's Tropical Grill in Fulton to celebrate funding a flight cage for the new rehabilitation center being built in Rockport. During the party the three winning tickets were drawn for the raffle held to fund the cage. A flight cage is needed for state and federal certification to work with larger birds that are being rehabilitated for release back into the wild.

Live music by Southern Wave Shakedown entertained folks and food was supplied by Rusty's Tropical Grill & Bar. The Wilderness Systems Kayak, sponsored by Terry's Seaworthy Marine Supply and valued at $1600, was won by winter Texans. Locals won the Engle Deep Blue Cooler, donated by Terry's Seaworthy, and a spa day from Diamante Azul Day Spa. The Wings Rescue Center Rehabilitation Center is expected to open in April at 3rd and Kossuth Streets in Rockport.

The crowd waits to see who will win the kayak
