PSA | "Animal Fostering Is Lifesaving"

Foster kitten Renegade has a few questions about life and decided to ask the resident Collie to explain life to him. The ever gentle canine gave a few suggestions that may or may not be followed by the tiny ball of fur & attitude.

Foster mom, Nora Katon says that he's quite the pistol and that type of information is vital in finding him just the right home to be adopted into. Socializing, introducing pet to new and different environments, playing with other critters big & small are all part of the fostering experience and there are some people who wouldn't have it any other way. Filling in For Families is just that, teaching and evaluating behaviors so that the perfect match can be made.

Another foster mom, Julie, states that knowing she's saving lives is the best part of fostering, but the constant love and laughs can't be ignored. She's come up with some very technically innovative ways to entertain her charges.

Nora's most treasured moments are the ones when the scared little creature relaxes in her arms, knowing that it's safe. Knowing that she's helping them towards finding a forever home is just so heartwarming.

Karen is fairly new to the foster game, and for her, watching them gain their confidence and learn to play and snuggle in a human lap makes all the pain of having to say goodbye worthwhile. Yes, it's hard to watch them leave, but it's so much harder knowing that without foster homes, most will die.

Temporary homes provide homeless pets with less stress and anxiety than the shelter environment and their true personality blossoms. That's the personality that their potential adopter needs to see & hear about,

And that's it, fostering saves lives, saves many, many lives and gives the humans an experience beyond the wildest imagination. If you think you may be interested in tending for a pet for a short period of time, please contact your local shelter or rescue.
