Pet Adoption | R/F Humane Society: Tina Turner, From Humble Beginings...

...to Superstar! Tina has not had the easiest of times in her short 2 ½ years, she’s been uprooted & tossed away a couple of times and as such, she has a tough time deciding who to trust, who to let into her inner circle.

Now, once she warms up and settles in, all bets are off for lap sitting, ear rubbing and soulful eye gazing with her. Yes, she starts off skittish and ducking her head, looking fearful and frightened, but it doesn’t take long before she’s asking for a walk, a song and a treat.

Tina’s life looks like it may have been following the path of the famous and infamous singer, dancer actress and author Tina Turner. That Miss Turner had a headline making, tumultuous marriage with husband Ike resulting in several instances of domestic abuse. That relationship seemed to have made Miss Turner stronger and she rebuilt her career singing and dancing her way through the emotional trials, she was a force to be reckoned with and so is our little dog.

Tina would do best in a quiet household, without too many humans coming and going, just a few who would take her for walks, maybe watch movies together, and just enjoy her company and allow her to listen to their singing. Tina’s a wonderful companion looking for the right role to star in.

Leaving you today with some lyrics from the 1966 hit: River Deep-Mountain High, and oldie, but very apropos for this adorable little pup:

When you were a young boy
Did you have a puppy
That always followed you around
Well I'm gonna be as faithful as that puppy
No I'll never let you down
Cause it grows stronger, like a river flows
And it gets bigger baby, and heaven knows
And it gets sweeter baby, as it grows
And do I love you my oh my
Yeah river deep, mountain high
