The History Center for Aransas Co. | "Foodways: Culinary Traditions of Aransas Co." | July 22, 6pm

The History Center will open its exhibit Foodways: Culinary Traditions of Aransas County on Saturday, July 22 at 6 PM. Judge Mills & Monica Burdette, THC, will open the event. This exhibit showcases our area's unique heritage of Native Americans foraging & hunting, turtle canneries, cattle packeries, shrimping, fishing, hunting & oystering, truck farming, diners, drive-ins & cafes, & community cook-books used as fund-raisers for non-profit groups & historic recipes. Located at 801 E. Cedar, the History Center's open hours are Saturdays 10-4, Sundays 1-4. Lecture series planned for August.
