Pet Adoption | R/F Humane Society: Trinity, A Lab for Lovers

OK all you Labby Lovers, this week’s dog is just for you!

Meet Trinity, a 3 ½ year old, 60 lb. bundle of Labrador Laughs. Now, to be honest, Trinity probably isn’t a full bred Labrador, but with her looks and personality, one would never know the difference. She’s got all the attributes associated with one. A little clumsy, a tad overbearing with her affection seeking nose, and when one adds a big dose of endearing, soul seeking eyes….well, there you go!

Trinity has not had an easy life; she came to us as a young pup, found wandering around, hungry and cold. She was quickly adopted out, but after her owner passed away, she came back to the shelter to wait, and wait, and wait. We thought she had found the perfect home with a whole bunch of big boys, but it was discovered that one has an awful allergy to dogs, so it was a short visit rather than an adoption.

Poor Trinity thought she was going to be back in a house where she could show off her good manners, keep Mom Company during the day, play with the kids after school & hang out next to Dad’s recliner at night. One would think that with all the upheaval in her life, Trinity would be a bit bummed out, but that Lab comes through with resiliency and a hopeful, happy outlook on life.

Happy Go Lucky is pretty much the biggest Lab feature, but Trinity is also even tempered, boisterous and fun loving – she’s got the chase part of “fetch” down, but the bring it back part needs some work. A natural clown, she’s sure to keep you and your family laughing at her antics as well as rubbing that belly and finding comfort in that big ‘ol head. Sound like something you'd like to add to your home? Come on out & meet this Lovely Lab!
