An Update about the Birds in Art Exhibition

Dear Members and Patrons:

Rockport Center for the Arts was originally scheduled to host the famous and world-renowned Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum’s annual Birds in Artexhibition starting in September 2017. Plans were waylaid when the Art Center facility sustained substantial damages during Hurricane Harvey.

A creative partnership with the Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi has delivered a new home for birds from land, sea and sky in multitudes of artistic mediums and styles so they can continue to fly thousands of miles and find hospitable refuge from their long migrations along the Texas Gulf Coast.

As Rockport and the rest of the Coastal Bend return to normalcy after the storm, I hope that you will join us for the opening reception to celebrate our community's spirit, strength, and resiliency. United, we have made significant strides. #ArtHeals
